Room Automation and Lighting Design

Designing room lighting scenarios, Master ON/OFF and sleep mode applications, multi-point control and panel engineering.

Guest comfort is directly tied to where and how light is controlled. Switching the whole room off from the bedside with one touch, or an automatic welcome light at the entrance, is only possible with properly designed lighting automation.

Scenario Design

  • Sleep Mode (Master OFF): Switching off every light in the room from the bedside with one touch.
  • Wake Mode (Master ON): Turning on all lighting groups with one touch.
  • Welcome lighting: The entrance spot activating automatically when the door opens.
  • Persistent independent control: The guest can still switch on any light locally even after the Master turned everything off.
  • Multi-point control: Synchronous control of the same group from the room entrance, bedside and desk.

Engineering And Panel

The channel count is set by room type and the panel architecture follows:

  • 4 × 16A (EX-106) panel for standard rooms
  • 7 × 16A (EX-701 / HL-17) panel for suites and luxury rooms
  • Increasing channel count by cascading multiple panels
  • 16A industrial relays rated for LED driver and linear lighting loads
  • Infrastructure compatible with momentary / impulse button mechanisms

Changing Scenarios

When requirements change we reconfigure the scenarios in software — no hardware replacement needed.
